What is MarIuX gnu/linux?
MarIuX gnu/linux is a desktop/server linux distribution developed at the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin Dahlem/Germany.
MarIuX is largely based on linux from scratch (linuxfromscratch.org).
There are currently 2 versions of MarIuX gnu/linux available:
- A desktop/server version for 32bit (i686 compatible) systems and
- a server-only version for 64bit systems supporting x86_64 compatible architectures (like AMD Opteron/Athlon64).
We are sorry, but there is no support for other architectures like 64bit Intel processors (ia64) or older 32bit architectures e.g. i386.
Due to the fact that MarIuX gnu/linux is still under heavy development, we don't have a public available version yet. But if you are interested in using MarIuX gnu/linux feel free to contact us (contact@mariux.org).
